So when their parents moved in, they decided to build up and add a second storey - and they're loving it!

At times, this family had up to 7 people sharing their beloved 3 bedroom house. Now, with their parents moving in permanently, they needed more space.

Buying a bigger home was never an option – they loved the home and neighbourhood, so extending made far more sense than leaving a home and area they already loved.

The Second Storey was designed for Lisa, Paul and their son to enjoy, while their parents get the main bedroom and bathroom downstairs.

When asked what their favourite thing is about the new addition, Paul says:

"It is hard to pick which part of the extension is the actual favourite as we are blown away with every new space that has been added. The main features that have really improved our overall living is the additional bathroom which acts as an ensuite, the upstairs lounge room that has created another living area and all the extra storage. The Office has changed the way I work - I used to work out of a small space in a converted cupboard! We would never have thought of it if James hadn't suggested it when he came to measure and suggest the layout."
